An environment-friendly antifouling agent is provided to ensure a lower production cost than the conventional antifouling agent, exhibit an excellent antifouling effect against seaweeds and barnacles, and effectively prevent environmental pollution caused by the toxic antifouling agent. An environment-friendly antifouling agent contains one selected from 1-octadecane and 5-ethyl octadecane, or a mixture thereof as an active component. An antifouling paint comprises 3-20wt% of a resin, 20-40wt% of a solvent, 20-50wt% of a pigment, 1-5wt% of other additive, and 3-40wt% of the antifouling agent. The other additive is at least one thickener selected from polyamide wax, bentonite, and polyethylene wax. |
