A switching device is provided to reduce an overall size of the switching device by decreasing a size of a manipulation lever while obtaining a sufficient stroke of the manipulation lever. A rotatable manipulation lever(2) includes a case and a manipulation unit. A twist coil spring(3) forms a movable contact node and includes a winding unit and first and second arm units. A switching circuit node(6a) contacts or separates a fixing contact node to and from the second arm unit of the twist coil spring. The fixing contact node is contacted with the first arm unit of the twist coil spring all the time. An elongation unit(1e) is formed at a corner of the case from a sidewall of the case to an inner portion of the case. An aperture(1h) enables an insertion of the manipulation unit of the manipulation lever into the case on an elongation line of the elongation unit. An elongation member(2e) faces the elongation unit of the manipulation lever. Spring containers(1e2,2c) are formed inside the elongation member and the manipulation lever to contain the winding unit of the twist coil spring.
