<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an accurate cumulative pixel count can be obtained in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms an electrostatic latent image based on image data and develops the electrostatic latent image with toner to form an image, wherein the apparatus is equipped with a pixel count converter 13 that corrects a pixel count cumulative value obtained by counting and accumulating pixels which form images, according to data values for process control. The pixel count converter 13 changes selectors of a SW (switch) 21 according to the value of the process control data P.
