<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress variations in voltage at an interconnection point, caused by the effective power of a distributed power supply by a low-cost method. <P>SOLUTION: The distributed power supply connects with an existing power system for supplying power to loads. The distributed power system has a power generation means and a control means; the power generation means is used to generate effective power and reactive power for outputting to the interconnection point; the control means is used to estimate the system impedance of the existing power system, to obtain the optimum value of reactive power Q<SB>G</SB>for minimizing variations in the voltage, at the interconnection point, based on the relational expression comprising an estimated value R+jX of the system impedance, the effective power P<SB>G</SB>, and the reactive power Q<SB>G</SB>, and to control the power generation means so that the optimum value is restricted to a prescribed power factor lower limit for outputting to the interconnection point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
