<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to develop neither unevenness nor wrinkles in a back cover at the binding of a sheet bundle and a cover sheet nor leakage of adhesive to neighborhood and the caking and bonding become possible by forcibly cooling after binding. <P>SOLUTION: In the bookbinding device and the image forming device, a piling means for piling sheets in a bundle form and a bookbinding course for carrying a sheet bundle from the piling means are prepared. In the course, a sheet bundle carrying means, an adhesive coating means, a cover binding means and a cover sheet feeding and sending course for feeding a cover sheet from the direction intersecting with the course are arranged. The cover binding means consists of the back folding pressing members of the cover sheet and a backing plate member for backup supporting the cover sheet provided at the downstream side of the back folding pressing members. A controlling means processes back folding by the back folding pressing members so as to form a little gap between the backing plate member and the back part of the sheet bundle and, after the processing, an adhesive is forcibly cooled by abutting the back part of the sheet bundle against the backing plate member under the condition that the cooling time of the adhesive is set to various different ones in response to the thickness of the sheet bundle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
