PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom in the installation of a waste ink tank while ensuring the absorbing performance of the waste ink tank which absorbs and stores a waste ink. SOLUTION: The waste ink tank is used to store the waste ink of an inkjet recording device. In the waste ink tank, the absorbing performance is ensured by ensuring a ventilation in such a manner that a space (s) in which absorbing foam 204 for absorbing the waste ink does not exist may be formed in a vicinity of the outlet 231h of an introduction port 231 which guides the waste ink into the waste ink tank. In concrete, the absorbing foam 204 in the vicinity of the outlet 231h may be deformed by a protruding member 232 which is provided in the cabinet of the waste ink tank. Since the protruding member 232 can be provided at any position, the introduction port 231 may be provided in any position, and the flexibility in the installation of the waste ink tank is increased.
