PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comparatively easily add a keyword to a partial image portion of a color image. SOLUTION: A color bar 32 is displayed on the color image. A color is designated by a position of a mark 33 on the color bar 32. The image portion 51 having the designated color is detected. A keyword table (50) having the keyword corresponding to the detected image portion 51 is displayed. A desired keyword is selected from the displayed keyword table (50). A character 53 expressing the selected keyword is displayed. Data expressing the detected image portion 51, data expressing the designated color, and data expressing the keyword are stored in an image file of the color image 50 as meta information.
