PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector that can measure position with high accuracy by using a low-cost counting device for measuring the position of a radio terminal. SOLUTION: The position detector has a transmitting terminal 10 for transmitting radio waves, and a receiving terminal 20 for receiving transmitted radio waves. The transmitting terminal temporaly changes the transmitting radio waves. The receiving terminal compares reference radio wave, having a smaller change ratio than the transmitting terminal by starting change, at the same timing as the transmitting radio waves of the transmitting terminal with the receiving radio waves from the transmitting terminal; and measuring the distance between the transmitting terminal and the receiving terminal by the time, until the change amount becomes identical.
