PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backrest seat in which the elasticity of a cushion property is made adjustable according to the physique and preference of a seated person while supporting the load by a "surface" in a stable state, the lower back part of the seated person is excellently supported and a sitting feeling is improved. SOLUTION: In the seat for a vehicle, a plate body 31 in the shape of one plate is attached to a backrest frame freely movably back and forth through a wire spring, the plate body 31 is provided with an elasticity adjusting plate 40 to be back and forth relative to the plate body 31, the vicinity of the upper edge of the plate body 31 is supported by an upper side wire spring 32A and the middle in the vertical direction is supported by a lower side wire spring 32B respectively. The plate body 31 made of a synthetic resin is formed so as to be bent further than the metallic lower side wire spring 32, the part of the plate body 31 below the lower side wire spring 32B is formed as a lower side bend part 33, and the lower side bend part 33 is configured to bend backward relative to the upper part of the plate body 31 with the vicinity of the lower side wire spring 32B as a fulcrum when the load is applied.
