A dimethylenecyclohexane compound is provided to improve driving voltage, efficiency, and color purity characteristics of an organic light emitting device. A method for preparing a dimethylenecyclohexane compound includes the steps of: reacting a compound represented by the following formula 1a with a compound represented by the following formula 1b and/or a compound represented by the following formula 1c to form a compound represented by the following formula 1d; and reacting the compound represented by the formula 1d with at least two compounds selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the following formula L1-Q1, a compound represented by the following formula L2-Q2, a compound represented by the following formula L3-Q3, and a compound represented by the following formula L4-Q4 to form a compound represented by the following formula 1. In the formulae L1-Q1, L2-Q2, L3-Q3, and L4-Q4, each of L1, L2, L3, and L4 groups is independently a substituted or unsubstituted C6-30 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 heteroaryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C5-20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C5-30 heterocycloalkyl group, or a substituted amino group having -N(R')(R"), and Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 are B-containing groups, or represent H when L1, L2, L3, and L4 are substituted amino groups.
