<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parting seal capable of ensuring the excellent door closing property and water discharging property without picking up any skipping stone while a vehicle travels. <P>SOLUTION: The parting seal 11 comprises a mounting base part 12 with an upper end thereof being provided along an inner surface of a lower end of a door body 2, and a seal part 13 extending downward in a cabin side from the upper end side of the mounting base part, and pressed against a vehicle body 6 when a door 1 is opened to seal a space between the vehicle body and the door. A projection part 14 bent in the cabin direction is integrally provided on the lower end of the mounting base part, and an extension part 15 bent facing the projection part is integrally provided on a lower end of the seal part. A fore end 15a of the extension part and a fore end 14a of the projection part are arranged so as to be substantially agreed with each other at the predetermined position α in the vehicle width direction while separating the fore ends from each other with a predetermined space C2 in the vertical direction.
