<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new peptide and provide a method for producing the same, an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE inhibitor) containing the new peptide as an effective component, a pharmaceutical composition containing the ACE inhibitor and health food or food. <P>SOLUTION: The peptide comprising an L-amino acid sequence expressed by sequence number 1, the ACE inhibitor comprising the L-amino acid sequence expressed by the sequence number 1 as an effective component, and the pharmaceutical composition, the health food and the food containing the ACE inhibitor are provided.
