PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for preparing peptides with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibiting activity.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for preparing the peptides with ACE inhibiting activity characterized by comprising an extracting process (1) extracting the peptides into an aqueous solution by treating micro algae in the aqueous solution with a protease, and a purification process (3) treating the product aqueous solution including the peptides by using an adsorbing resin and 20-60 vol.% of aqueous ethanol solution as an eluting solvent. The purification process (3) is preferably carried out after subjecting the micro algae (1) to an extracting process (2) extracting peptides into the aqueous solution by using a protease with a different acting mechanism from the protease used in the extracting process (1) after the extracting process (1).
