<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery using a negative electrode active material having at least one kind selected from a group of Si atom, Sn atom, and Pb atom, which has a high charging capacity and excellent characteristics for a long period, and is superior, in particular, in discharge capacity maintenance rate. <P>SOLUTION: A carbonate having at least one of an unsaturated bonding and a halogen atom and a compound as expressed by a general formula (1) are at least contained in the non-aqueous electrolytic solution. In the formula (1), X expresses halogen atom, alkyl group, or aryl group. When X is alkyl group or aryl group, it may be further substituted by the halogen atom, alkyl group, or aryl group. n expresses an integer of 1 or more and 6 or less. When n is 2 or more, the X of 2 or more may be mutually same or different.
