<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge for smoothly transporting toner, to provide an image forming apparatus and a method for assembling the process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The process cartridge 20 has: a photoreceptor 22; and a developing device 34 rendering a latent image formed on the photoreceptor 22 into a visible image and having a developer storage space 62, and the process cartridge is provided with: a main tank 68 and a subtank 70 provided by dividing the developer storage space 62; a developer passage 72 connecting a developer take-in port 68a opening to the main tank 68 and a developer feed port 70a opening to the subtank 70; at least two main tank agitators 107 provided at the main tank 68 freely rotatably and stirringly transporting the developer in the main tank 68; and a subtank agitator 119 provided at the subtank 70 freely rotatably and stirringly transporting the developer in the substank 70.
