PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse radar system using an FM-modulated wave which reduces FM-AM conversion noise. SOLUTION: The pulse radar system using a transmission high-frequency signal for performing distance measurement in reception frequency conversion comprises an oscillation means which oscillates a non-modulated high-frequency signal in the measurement for a predetermined distance or less and oscillates a frequency-modulated high-frequency signal in the measurement for the predetermined distance or over, an amplitude modulation means which amplitude modulates the non-modulated high-frequency signal by a high-speed pulse signal amplitude modulated by a low-speed pulse signal and amplitude modulates the frequency-modulated high-frequency signal by the high-speed pulse signal, a transmitting means for radiating the high-frequency signal modulated by the frequency modulation means to the outside as a transmission signal, a receiving means for receiving the reflected wave of the transmission signal as a reception signal, a delay-time detection means for detecting the delay time of the reception signal, and a distance calculation means for determining the distance to an object using the delay time.
