摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-automatic firing propellant injection and ignition system suitable for use in a relatively small rocket engine. SOLUTION: A bipropellant injector has first and second injector elements 130, 24 and a spark excitation assembly 100. The first injector element 130 has a conductive layer 146 electrically connected to the spark excitation assembly and a non-conductive layer 148 arranged on an outer portion of the conductive layer. The second injector element 24 is formed of electric conductive material and has a through opening 132 which is in fluid communication with a combustion chamber. An end 138 of the first injector element is arranged at the opening 132 or near the opening 132. The spark excitation assembly 100 can generate an electric arc between the conductive layer 146 of the first injector element 130 and the second injector element 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
