PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base film for a tape satisfying all requirements with good balance such as good film forming property, heat resistance, feeling equal to that of flexible PVC, excellent hand tearing property, free from whitening in stretching by using a polyolefin based resin. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the base film for tape based on polyolefin obtained by film forming a resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of a polypropylene-polyethylene copolymer with less than 5 of melt flow rate (MFR) and higher than 135°C of melting point, 10-100 pts.wt. of a low density polyethylene with less than 10 of MFR and higher than 100°C of melting point and/or 1-20 pts.wt. of linear low density polyethylene with less than 5 of MFR and higher than 115°C of melting point, and an inorganic filler.
