PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of accomplishing miniaturization of the whole device by minimizing a distance required for correction of oblique advancement of the sheet in a conveying passage. SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device has a restriction member provided on the conveying passage along a conveying direction in order to abut/guide an end edge of the sheet and restrict a position in a sheet width direction; a sheet rotation mechanism arranged such that two pairs of rollers of a first drive roller clamping/conveying the sheet in an upstream side of the restriction member and a first driven roller and a second drive roller and a second driven roller are arranged in a width direction of the conveying passage, rotating the sheet by normally rotating one of the first drive roller and the second drive roller and reversely rotating the other, and abutting the sheet end edge on an end of the restriction member; and a sheet correction mechanism having a conveying roller and a third driven roller provided in a downstream side of the sheet rotation mechanism and conveying the sheet rotated by the sheet rotation mechanism such that the end edge is abutted on the restriction member to correct the attitude.
