PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally perform the peripheral control of a game. SOLUTION: The output means of a main control means outputs a first command and a second command when power is supplied to the game machine. Since data corresponding to the first and second commands are the data for inverting the signals of an adjacent pin in pins arrayed in one, two or more lines on a data route from an output circuit in the main control means to an input circuit in a peripheral control means, by detecting whether or not the peripheral control means normally receives the data, whether or not the pins arrayed in one, two or more lines are short-circuited or disconnected is detected.
