POLY-?-GLUTAMIC ACID DERIVATIVE HAVING CYCLODEXTRIN THEREIN

Disclosed is a poly-?-glutamic acid (PGA) derivative having a cyclodextrin introduced therein. Preferably, the cyclodextrin is bound to about 1 to 30% of the side-chain carboxyl groups in PGA. It becomes possible to impart properties inherent in cyclodextrin (e.g., an effect of stabilizing an unstable substance, an effect of masking of unpleasant odor, unpleasant taste or the like) to PGA. Therefore, the PGA derivative can be widely used in various applications including biotechnology.
