<p>A skin protectant provides a sunscreen and protection against urushiol oil from poison ivy, oak and sumac. The protectant is insoluble in water so that the protectant tends to remain on the wearer's skin when the user perspires or contacts water. The protectant provides a polymeric barrier that obstructs penetration of urushiol into the wearer's skin pores. The protectant can include one or more sunscreen agents, such as octinoxate, avobenzone, benzophenenone-3, zinc oxide and diphenyl capryl methicone. The protectant can provide a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30.</p> |
