The invention relates to a method for operating a wind farm with at least two wind energy installations (WEA1, WEA2, WEA3, WEA4, WEA5), which is inte nded to be connected to an electrical supply system by at least one actual v alue (vt1(WEA1), ..., vt3(WEA5)) for a wind speed or a parameter associated therewith being determined for each of the at least two wind energy installa tions (WEA1, WEA2, ..., WEA5), the at least two wind energy installations (W EA1, WEA2, WEA3, WEA4, WEA5) being at least partially split up into at least two predeterminable groups (G1, G2, G3), and at least one first disconnecti on value (At1(G1), At2(G1), At3(G1)) being assigned to each wind energy inst allation of the first group (G1), and at least one second disconnection valu e (At1(G2), At2(G2), At3(G2)), which is different from at least one first di sconnection value (At1(G1), At2(G1), At3(G2)), being assigned to each wind e nergy installation of the second group (G2), and the at least one actual val ue (vt1(WEA1), ..., vt3(WEA5)) being assigned to one of the disconnection va lues (At1(G1), ..., At3(G3)), and the actual values (vt1(WEA1), ..., vt3(WEA 3)) being compared with the assigned disconnection values (At1(G1), ..., At3 (G3)), and, in the event of a disconnection value (At1(G1), ..., At3(G3)) be ing exceeded by the assigned actual value (vt1(WEA1), ..., vt3(WEA3)), the w ind energy installation or group of wind energy installations (G1, G2, G3) w hich is assigned to the disconnection value (At1(G1), ..., At3(G3)) being di sconnected automatically.
