PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the reference voltage of a voltage controlled oscillator, capable of raising linearity in relation between a control voltage and a frequency by adjusting the anode voltage of a variable capacity diode, and to provide the voltage controlled oscillator. SOLUTION: The voltage controlled oscillator 10 includes: a piezoelectric vibration piece 12; the variable capacity diode Cv connected to the piezoelectric vibration piece 12 at the cathode side; a reference voltage generation source 16 connected to the anode side of the variable capacity diode Cv; and resistances to be connected to the anode side of the variable capacity diode Cv at one ends and to be connected to pads 18 at the other ends. The voltage controlled oscillator 10 includes a package for mounting the piezoelectric vibration piece 12, the variable capacity diode Cv, the reference voltage generation source 16, and the resistances.
