A modular surface assembly comprises a plurality of surface modules, each module comprising a surface element having an exterior face; each module further comprising a means for moving the surface element from a first position to a second position; in the first position the surface elements of a plurality of the modules being aligned such that the exterior faces of the modules lie in substantially the same plane; and in the second position the surface elements of adjacent modules being out of alignment. The modular assembly is particularly useful as a floor assembly, for use in displays, exhibition stands, theatres, film sets, and the like. When arranged vertically, the assembly is especially suited for use as an advertising display. |
