NEW METHOD OF IMPROVING THE OCULAR TOLERANCE OF FOAMING AND/OR DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS FOR SKIN USE

The ocular tolerance of cosmetic, dermocosmetic and dermopharmaceutical compositions is improved by the incorporation therein of an effective amount of a polyol-glycoside or of a mixture of polyol-glycosides of formula (I): R₁-O-(G)_x-H (I) in which: - x represents a decimal number between 1 and 5 and G represents the residue of a reducing sugar, and R₁ represents a radical of formula (A) -CH₂-(CHOH)_n-CH₂-OH (A) in which n is an integer equal to 2, 3 or 4, or else R₁ represents a radical of formula (B) -(CH₂-CHOH-CH₂-O)_m-H (B) in which m is an integer equal to 1, 2 or 3. The invention also relates to new concentrates which contain compounds of formula (I), foaming and/or detergent surfactants and topically acceptable solvents, and also to processes for preparing them.
