A lithium rechargeable battery is provided to inhibit a hot melting part from being separated from the upper part of a cap plate by external shocks, thereby preventing a deterioration or breakage of the battery. A lithium rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly; a can for accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap assembly in which an electrode terminal is upwardly exposed and which seals the can; a circuit board which is connected to the cap assembly through a lead plate(280); and a hot melting part which is formed between the cap assembly and the circuit board. The lead plate comprises a bottom(282) in contact with the upside of a cap plate(110) of the cap assembly, and a separated part(286) which is away from the upside of the cap plate and connected with at least two parts of the bottom. |
