An LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to increase the length of a connecting part of the FPCB to reduce the restoring force of the connecting part to prevent an LCD panel, on which an FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) is attached, from being separated from a mold frame. A driving IC(21) is mounted on an LCD panel(12) to supply a driving signal to the LCD panel. A backlight assembly(50) supplies light to the LCD panel. A mold frame(31) receives and holds the LCD panel and the backlight assembly. An FPCB supplies signals to the driving IC. The FPCB includes a connecting part(42) connected to the LCD and extended to an overlapping region of the driving IC while wrapping the mold frame, and a part mounting part(43) extended from the connecting part to mount a plurality of electron elements thereon.
