RELAY HAVING VERTICAL MODULE STRUCTURE AND RELAY ARRAY HAVING THE SAME

A relay having a vertical module structure and a relay array having the same are provided to reduce power consumption of the relay by performing a switching operation based on magnetic forces from an electromagnet and a permanent magnet. A relay having a vertical module structure includes an electromagnet(120), a permanent magnet(140), and first and second conductive members(152,154). The permanent magnet is moved by a magnetic force which is induced by a current applied to the electromagnet. The first conductive member receives signals. The second conductive member outputs the signals. The first and second conductive members are coupled with or separated from each other by the permanent magnet which is moved based on the magnetic force. The relay includes a magnetic plate for latching a switching state between the first and second conductive members.
