SMALL INTERFERING RNA AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF HEPATITIS B COMPRISING THE SAME

A small interfering RNA(siRNA) is provided to inhibit the expression of virus protein and virus replication by inducing the decomposition of HBV pre-genome and messenger RNA, thereby being effectively used for treating diseases caused by infection of hepatitis B virus. An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprises a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID : NOs. 1 to 5, a compliment thereof or a portion thereof, wherein the nucleic acid molecule is a small interfering RNA(siRNA). A pharmaceutical composition for treating, preventing or diagnosing hepatitis B, liver cirrhosis or liver cancer comprises the isolated nucleic acid molecule, or a DNA vector, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or an excipient.
