The field of the invention is that of reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexing devices, also called ROADM. The device according to the invention is capable of operating for any spectral channel belonging to a spectral band comprising a plurality of spectral channels. To this end, the ROADM described comprises at least one first opto-electronic assembly (20) comprising a fibre optic input port (21), a fibre optic output port (22), at least one optical gate (24) and optical coupling means (25,27), said gate and said means being capable of operating for all of said spectral channels, the coupling means being coupled to at least:
€¢ an optical modulator (30), the function of which is to convert a modulated electrical signal into an optical signal, coupled to a tunable WDM-type transmission source (40), said modulator and said source being capable of operating at least over all of the channels;
€¢ a photon detector (50) also capable of operating for all of said spectral channels, the function of which is to convert a modulated optical signal into an electrical signal. |
