Use of the steam turbine for primary frequency control in power generating plants

The method involves storing thermal energy in a drum boiler (2), and completely opening of a regulating unit in a normal operation of a power generation system (1). A high pressure-bypass station (6) is opened to provide steam flow to the boiler according to load requirement. The steam flow is added to a high pressure exhaust of a turbo machine (3) in a cold intermediate superheating conductor (19), where the turbo machine is designed as a steam turbine. The high pressure exhaust added with the steam flow is fed to the turbo machine.
