An infra-red suppressor of the double-skinned (7, 8) multi-lobed type has a cooled centre body (20) for obstructing direct line-of-sight of the turbine formed by a plurality of abutting panels 24. The panels comprise extensions of inner skin panels 7 which make up the lobes of the nozzle. The extensions towards the radially inner edges of the skin panels are bent transversely with respect to the nozzle axis and their extremities are shaped to abut one another so as to form a body centred on the axis. The region behind the body is cooled by ambient air entrained into the space between the double-skins 7,8. |
