<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and evenly disperse toner and prevent the occurrence of uneven image density even in such a configuration that the stir conveyance roller and coil springs of a developer detection mechanism are disposed close to a toner supply roller. <P>SOLUTION: A stir conveyance member comprising the coil springs 102 and 103 and a stainless shaft 101 of a crank shape for stirring and conveying toner is disposed above and near the toner supply roller 23.
