Method and device for trace analysis of nitrogen monoxide in hydrocarbon gases

The method involves extracting gaseous samples and its analysis by a gas chromatograph support circuit. Signals of a chemiluminescence detector are detected by a program, and signals of multiple individual samples are accumulated, where samples are taken successively to measurements of gas and the accumulated signals are evaluated for determining nitrogen monoxide concentration in a gas flow. The concentration is determined by comparison of integral and signal amplitude of the accumulated signal with integral and/or signal amplitude of a signal of a sample of defined concentration. An independent claim is also included for a device for trace analysis of nitrogen monoxide in a gas flow of a hydrocarbon gas in a chemical or petrochemical plant.
