An electric blower (1) including a motor (16) having a stator (2) that is provided with a field winding (13), a rotor (5) placed so as to face the stator (2), and a bracket (12) covering the stator (2) and the rotor (5); a fan (17) installed on a shaft (6) that is coupled to the rotor (5); an air guide (18) having a diffuser section (21) that is provided with stationary blades adjacent to each other on the outer circumference of the fan (17); a fan case (19) having, on its outer circumference section, openings (27) that discharge a part of air that passed the diffuser section (21) and installed to cover the fan (17); and projections (28) each having a flange that covers each of the openings (27). The motor (16) is cooled by airflow produced by the fan (17). |
