MOTION SENSOR EQUIPPED WITH ENCODER MONITORING CIRCUIT AND CORRESPONDING ENCODER MONITORING METHOD

The sensor has two sensor units (6, 7) placed shiftily to each other in movement direction of the encoders. Processing circuits convert the output signals of the sensor units into the sensor output signal. A test circuit (14) directly monitors the output signals of sensor units and makes ineffective or correct the sensor output signal if the faults of the output signals of the sensor units are detected. An independent claim is also included for a device for detection of movement of encoders.
