A device and a method for forming color patterns on a display panel are provided to form a very precise color pattern by radiating UV light directly to a glass substrate doped with UV color filter ink, thereby removing the use of mask or any exposure equipment. A device for forming color patterns on a display panel includes a work table(110) securing a glass substrate(120) doped with UV(Ultra Violet) color filter ink, and a light source(150) for generating UV light. A head unit(130) radiates the UV light generated by the light source to a portion of the glass substrate selectively to cure the doped UV color filter ink, thereby forming a color pattern on the glass substrate without using any mask. |
