A method for manufacturing a hydrophilic reflector is provided, wherein excitation characteristics, sustaining characteristics and hydrophilic characteristics of the hydrophilic reflector are improved by adhering a compound obtained by adding 1 to 10 wt.% of chromium oxide, aluminum oxide or chromium-aluminum composite oxide to silicon oxide onto an anatase type titanium oxide thin film after depositing the titanium oxide thin film onto a reflector. A method for manufacturing a hydrophilic reflector for a vehicle comprises depositing an anatase type titanium oxide thin film onto the surface opposite to a Cr deposition surface of an ordinary Cr-adhered side mirror, and sequentially adhering a compound obtained by adding an oxide to silicon oxide onto the anatase type titanium oxide thin film. The compound is obtained by adding 1 to 10 wt.% of chromium oxide, aluminum oxide or chromium-aluminum composite oxide to the silicon oxide, and is 30 to 60 nm thick.
