A method for storing data by using an out-band of an ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) and its system are provided to separate only PSIP(Program and Service Information Protocol) specific information for which a user wishes while transmitting an ATSC broadcasting stream and PSIP information, store and record the separated PSIP specific information, connect with specific contents, and perform additional information interactive communication. A transmitting/receiving interface(1033) interfaces broadcasting stream information transmitted from an ATSC broadcasting station. An out-band check unit(1035) parses the interfaced broadcasting stream information. A microcomputer(1037) judges a signal inputted by an input device(101). When the judged signal is a storing signal, the microcomputer(1037) separates and selects only PSIP specific information for which a user wishes from the broadcasting stream information and stores the selected PSIP specific information in a storing medium(1043).
