A processing tool is provided to process surfaces of a work effectively by improving conversion of curve movement to straight movement. A processing tool comprises a processing tool comprising: a shank(2), a case, a positional engaging portion, an absorption rod, an absorption spring, a tiltable case(1), a holder, a slidable holder, a spring, a universal joint, a tilt supporting pin unit, and a pressure receiving plate. The shank is installed to the main spindle of a machine tool detachably. The case is mounted to the outer portion of the bottom portion of the shank through a bearing. The positional engaging portion is provided in the case and engages a fixed portion of the machine tool to position the case in a static state when mounted to the main spindle. The absorption rod is situated slidably in the axial direction in an axial hole provided in the axial direction of the bottom end of the shank. The absorption spring is installed between the absorption rod and the shank with the absorption rod urged in the axial direction. The tiltable case is situated relatively to the axial direction on the bottom within the case. The holder is situated rotatably through a bearing within the tiltable case. The slidable holder is situated in the axial direction within the holder and provided with a chuck portion for a tool at a leading end thereof. The spring is installed between the holder and the slidable holder with the slidable holder urged in the axial direction. The universal joint connects a bottom end portion of the absorption rod with a top end portion of the holder to be tilted freely in order to transmit a rotation. The tilt supporting pin unit is situated within the case located around the outer peripheral portion of the universal joint and includes a plurality of tilt supporting pins projecting downward with the respective tilt supporting pins urged downwards by the springs. The pressure receiving plate is provided above the tilting case and allows the tips of each tilt supporting pin of the tilt supporting pin unit to make contact therewith. |
