An SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) server and a communication method based on the SIP using the same are provided to make previously a binding address to add the binding address to a record-route header field and a binding address to transmit a request message mapped to an address map, thereby transmitting an SIP message on the basis of the address map between SIP clients of different networks quickly and smoothly. A communication method based on SIP comprises the following steps of: setting a first address and a second address for a first network to an address map of an SIP server; allowing the SIP server to receive an SIP initial request message to be transmitted to the first network as a destination; adding a record-route header field to the received SIP initial request message with the first address(S420); and generating a first route set based on the added record-route header field at the final destination of the SIP initial request message(S430).
