A method and a system for evaluating the performance of a photo-catalyst applied product are provided to evaluate the performance of the photo-catalyst quantitatively and directly. UV rays are applied to a photo-catalyst containing titanium dioxide to form holes and electrons in a surface of the photo-catalyst(4). Oxygen molecules are continuously supplied to the photo-catalyst to induce a prompt electron transfer reaction between electrons and oxygen, thereby forming peroxy radicals(6). The fluorescence or chemical luminescence induced by the peroxy radicals is measured(7). The measured result is used to evaluate the performance of the photo-catalyst(9). |
