摘要 A coupling structure for PC segments using longitudinally disposed pipe members, and a method of coupling the PC segments using the pipe members are provided to exert sufficient shearing resistance and bending resistance against live load and differential settlement by inserting continuous pipes having tensile members into coupling surfaces between longitudinally linked PC segments, and to simplify the construction process by injecting filling materials into coupling surfaces of PC segments which automatically fills continuous ports, recessed units, and block out units. In coupling serially disposed PC segments(10) for constructing a PC based structure, block out units(17) are longitudinally disposed away from hunched portions of edges between two adjacent coupling PC segments, and continuous through ports are formed on the hunched portions for communicating the block out units with coupling surfaces of the adjacent PC segments. Recessed units(11) having sealants attached are disposed on the coupling surfaces of the PC segments. Sealants allow filling materials(14) injected through injection ports to be filled around the recessed units. Inlet ports disposed on the continuous pipes allow the filling materials to enter into the continuous pipes. A method of coupling the PCs include the steps of: inserting continuous pipes(21) having tensile members(24) inside into continuous through ports on the coupling surface of the neighboring PC segments; and fixing one ends of the tensile members to fixed plates installed in the block out units. The step of filling the recessed units and the continuous pipes at the same time by injecting filling materials, the step of placing tendons(30) on PC segments for exerting tension on the serially linked PC segments, and the step of relieving the tension force by disengaging the tendon after the ends of tensile members are fixed on fixed plates are further included. Transparent, or semitransparent sealing plates are placed over the block out units to allow the filling materials injected into the recessed units to fill into the block out units and to allow workers to visually identify the filling progress.
