A method of piercing spun yarn and a knitting including the piercing of spun yarn. In the method capable of increasing quality and aesthetic appearance by eliminating the formation of knots in piercing spun yarn and the mixing of colors and the projection of end yarn, the tip sides (11a) and (12a) of two pieces of spun yarn (11) and (12) are folded in "J" shape, and opposed to each other so that folded parts (11b) and (12b) can be bound to each other. The tip sides (11a) and (12a) are twined with the base end sides (11c) and (12c) of the folded parts (11b) and (12b) and joined to each other. The tip sides (11a) and (12a) of the spun yarn (11) and (12) are twined with the base end sides (11c) and (12c) of the folded parts (11b) and (12b) and connected to each other. Since the twining is performed within the spun yarn (11) and (12), piercing can be securely performed irrespective of the type of a mating material. Since the knot is not formed, in knitting, the possibility of occurrence of yarn breakage by resistance in forming stitches or hooking to a knitting needle can be eliminated. Since the two pieces of yarn are bound to each other at the folded parts (11b) and (12b), the quality and the aesthetic appearance can be increased without causing the mixing of colors even if the colors of the yarns are different from each other.
