FIELD: technology for inspecting baggage with usage of gamma-radiation. ^ SUBSTANCE: baggage inspection system contains digital x-ray graphic subsystem for producing flat image of baggage by means of linear scanning and computer tomographic subsystem for producing tomographic image of baggage by means of circular scanning, where digital x-ray subsystem consists of immoveable frame, conveyor mechanism, radioactive radiation source, front collimator, back collimator and matrix detector affixed on immoveable frame, and computer tomographic subsystem consists of rotating frame, conveyor mechanism, radioactive radiation source, front collimator, back collimator and matrix detector, held on rotary frame, where the source of radioactive radiation in computer tomographic subsystem is the gamma-radiation of radioactive isotopes 192Ir or 75Se with high specific radioactivity, while gamma-radiation source is placed inside protective covers with emitting slit, which are affixed on rotary frame, and as matrix detector, matrix detector is used which is meant for registration of gamma-radiation of radioactive isotopes 192Ir or 75Se; the source of radioactive radiation in digital x-ray subsystem is the gamma-radiation of radioactive isotopes 192Ir or 75Se with high specific radioactivity, where the source of gamma-radiation is placed inside protective covers with emitting slit, which are held on immovable frame, and as matrix detector, matrix detector is used which is meant for registration of radiation of radioactive isotopes 192Ir or 75Se. ^ EFFECT: increased average power of x-ray radiation, simplification and reduction of dimensions of device structure, reduced service time, increased x-ray radiation dissipation angle and reduced cost of the device. ^ 2 cl, 7 dwg |
