FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, household equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: drum-type washing machine has casing, tank incorporating washing drum, electric drive, and control unit. Washing machine has variable volume of washing drum, which is provided by making each of said, casing, tank and drum consisting of two parts movably connected with one another. According to one version, parts of tank are hermetically connected with one another using sealing layers, and movable and immovable parts are provided with guiding members. According to another version, both parts are connected by means of corrugated cylindrical portion. ^ EFFECT: reduced sizes of washing machine during transportation and in non-operating position, improved quality of washing cloths, reduced consumption of water and detergent. ^ 3 cl, 3 dwg |
