摘要 FIELD: tool-making industry, possible use for building sensors of inclination meters, magnetic compasses and devices, meant for determining orientation of moveable objects. ^ SUBSTANCE: the method for determining operation modes of sine-cosine sensors includes amplifying, detecting and analog-digital converting of sine and cosine signals of sensor being diagnosed, and also in usage of values of support signal during processing of measuring information. Absolute values of sine and cosine signals of sensor being diagnosed are determined and compared to values of supporting signals, which correspond to limits of given modes of operation of sine-cosine sensors, where these are used, while a conclusion is drawn, that sine-cosine sensor being diagnosed operates in the mode, at which absolute values of both signals of given sensor do not exceed values of given supporting signals, which correspond to boundaries of given modes of operation, and if none of given supporting signals, corresponding to boundaries of given operation modes of sensor being diagnosed, meet given condition, then a conclusion is drawn that the sensor operates in the mode at which signals of sensor being diagnosed exceed ranges of input signals of analog-digital converter used during analog-digital conversion. ^ EFFECT: increased precision of measurements, ensured capacity for determining emergency operation modes of device, connected to disconnections and short circuit in excitation circuits of sine-cosine sensors.
