A drain valve for an oil filter is provided to improve a lubricating performance by reducing a malfunction of the drain valve. A drain valve for an oil filter comprises a compression member(H), a valve frame(12) and a valve spring(13). The compression member has a predetermined size such that an oil fan returning path(32) is provided in the compression member. The valve frame has a lower end, which is supported by an upper surface of the compression member and an upper end, which moves up and down in a valve fixation member(38a) integrally formed at the bottom of a lower plate of a filtering element(36). The valve spring is housed in the valve frame such that the compression member is elastically moved.
