The connector (1) has a housing (2) receiving an end of a frame rod and delimited by lateral walls (11) with a base and an inlet. A support area (12) forming a reference plane closes the base and has a window disengaging top of the support area and a hooking unit (13) e.g. projecting part, of the housing. A locking crosspiece (14) has a lower surface parallel to the reference plane and spaced from the support area. The end of the rod has another hooking unit e.g. cavity, complementary to the former hooking unit.
